Camp GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) Grenada is a youth development initiative that empowers young women through leadership training, self-esteem building, and life skills education. It is a free, week-long, immersive camp experience for girls aged 13 to 16.

Camp GLOW occurs yearly in the month of July at different locations across Grenada.

The program includes:

  • Interactive workshops

  • Mentorship sessions

  • Confidence and leadership-building activities

  • Life skills training

  • Opportunities for community engagement

These elements are designed to help girls grow into informed, responsible, and empowered citizens.

Girls aged 13 to 16 from across Grenada are eligible to apply. The program seeks participants who demonstrate potential for leadership and a desire to make a positive impact in their communities.

Elgible girls can apply via the registration link. However, registration is already closed for this year (sorry) so be on the look out around March/ April next year for when it opens again and apply early!

Camp GLOW Grenada was established in 2012 through a collaborative effort between U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers and local Grenadian counterparts. It was inspired by the original Camp GLOW initiative, which began in Romania in 1995.

Since its inception, the camp has positively impacted the lives of over 300 young women across Grenada.

Many alumnae have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in fields such as:

  • Education

  • Healthcare

  • Law

  • Youth development

  • Aviation

  • Customer service

  • Entrepreneurship

Some former campers have also returned to serve as directors, counselors and mentors, demonstrating the program’s long-term leadership impact.

Camp GLOW is funded by the generous patronage of the business community in Grenada and the diaspora. We refer to these valuable stakeholders as 'partners' and are truly thankful for their support. You can donate to our cause or contact us to become a partner. Thank you in advance!

Our mission is to empower young women to become confident, capable leaders through experiential learning, mentorship, and skill-building in a safe, inclusive environment.
